2022-23 tacoma creates annual Report

The 2022-23 Tacoma Creates Annual Report is now available. Learn more about how Tacoma Creates funding has supported arts, culture, heritage, and science organizations during our third funding cycle, the list of organizations funded in 2022-23, a few snapshots from over 1,100 Tacoma Creates-supported programs and events, and a financial summary. Highlights include:

  • 4.5 million in funding was distributed to 56 arts, culture, heritage, and science organizations in the City of Tacoma.

  • 1,185 programs were produced by Tacoma Creates-supported organizations; 733 of those programs were general public programs, and 412 programs were youth education programs.

  • 78% of those programs were free for all participants.

Tacoma Creates nurtures the sustainability of the cultural sector by supporting organizations’ financial health, their ability to collaborate, and their programming and staffing capacity.

2021-2022 Tacoma Creates Annual Report

The 2021-2022 Tacoma Creates Annual Report is available. Learn more about how Tacoma Creates funding has supported arts, culture, heritage, and science organizations during our second funding cycle, the list of organizations funded in 2021-2022, a few snapshots from over 1,000 Tacoma Creates-supported programs and events, and a financial summary. Highlights include:

  • $4.2 million in funding was distributed to 51 cultural organizations throughout the City of Tacoma

  • Over 1,000 programs were produced by Tacoma Creates-supported organizations; nearly 2/3 of those programs were general public programs, and over 1/3 were youth education programs

  • 74% of those programs were free for all participants

Organizations also used Tacoma Creates funds to makes their programming more accessible and welcoming for both continuing and new participants, and to update internal policies and practices that support more inclusive and sustainable organizations.
